Office
Planner
As your business grows, so too will your
office furniture needs. By proper planning from the first purchase, you
will be able to add new pieces that will enhance the look of your office,
and increase the productivity and professional look of your office.
A few minutes spent planning your office site will maximize your physical
well-being and your work efficiency. When choosing your home office location,
keep in mind how you will control surrounding noise levels, privacy, and
future expansion needs, as well as your needs for adequate light, ventilation
and electrical outlets. When placing furniture, keep in mind these important
office planning guidelines:
1. To avoid eye-fatigue
computer monitors should be placed at a 90 degree angle to a window or
bright light source, never in front or facing it.
2. Desk or floor lamps should be placed close to reading or writing areas.
3. Light colored walls reflect light, darker colored walls absorb light
and may require higher lighting levels.
4. To avoid physical strain, raise your computer screen to eye level and
place frequently used items within arms reach.
5. Investing in an ergonomic office chair with adjustable seat height
and placing a vinyl chair mat over carpet will maximize seating comfort
and flexibility.
